The BEST shoes!
For years it was a struggle to find shoes that were easy to clean, comfortable, and didn’t make me roll my ankle if I stepped wrong. I tried Nike, Sketchers, Dansko, and so many more! I would go through three to five pairs of shoes per year trying to find the right shoe and not have them fall apart within a month because of how much time I spent on my feet as a nurse.
Just over two years ago I found a brand-new company that specifically designed shoes for healthcare workers. I followed this company before they officially launched their shoes! The company, Clove, launched at the end of 2019 and I had my first two pairs within the first few months. They are fantastically comfortable, fluid resistant, non-slip, and easy to put on and take off. They are made so that you can use the cleaning wipes at your work to wipe off your shoes.
The company was founded by a nurse and her husband who saw her struggle of finding the right shoe that lasts as she made her way through nursing school and working as a nurse. They also have a bar above the “c” in their name. In the medical world, a “c” with a bar on top means “with” so the real name of their company is “with love.”
I have convinced so many colleagues to try these shoes and now some of them have four or five pairs! I have four myself and my first two (which are about 2 years old) still keep my feet feeling good after long shifts. They recently redesigned their sole to be squeak free and come out with new colors what seems like every month. They are limited edition colors but some are so popular that they relaunch the colors!
If you are struggling to find a good shoe (even if you aren’t a healthcare worker), seriously, give these a try. I will give you a disclaimer though. If you have high arches, these shoes (as they come) may not be the best for you. But you should give them a try with custom insoles. The features of easy slip-on/off, fluid-resistant, and easy to clean are definitely worth it! The price point isn’t that different from other good shoes either…

They retail for $129 and have free shipping. Each pair also comes with two badge reels and three pens. If you follow their Instagram page, they often have codes to get free compression socks with a shoe purchase (a $22 value). They also have fantastic customer service! My husband bought me some for my birthday last year and I noticed an imperfection in the sole. I emailed them asking if it would cause any dysfunction later on down the road they exchanged them for free (any very quickly too).
